The Sea Cukes Mixed and Ladies team headed to Mui Wo this past Sunday, June 10 for a day of sunshine, sand and dragon boat racing.

The mixed team did a fabulous job, coming first in both of our qualifying heats. With the finals being based on times, not points, we qualified for the Gold Plate finals. We handily won our finals race to become the Gold Plate CHAMPIONS!

Our ladies – who were well supported by many newcomers to our fair sport – paddled feverishly down the 300 m course. Unfortunately, the Ladies team did not make the finals but we gained invaluable experience and had a SUPER fun day. See you next year Mui Wo!
