The Sea Cucumbers had their season-opening race day on 22nd of April 2018 at Deep Water Bay! The sun was shining and we were stoked for the always enjoyable 500 m Dragon Boat Regatta hosted by Hong Kong VRC Paddle Club.

We did register two teams: Mix and Ladies team in (20+2 boat). Both are mixed and ladies teams did us proud!

The mixed boat placed 3rd in the PLATE final, for an overall result of 9th out of 33 mixed teams.

Our ladies came first and second in their first 2 heats, finally placing 5th in the Ladies Cup final! The competition was stiff, the sun was hot and at the end of the day, the beers were cold so we call it a success!
